Concept was to create a curve-based object and use sub-devision modeling to create it. The inspiration came from the inner beauty storys of, "ugly duckling to swan" or "caterpillar to butterfly". Instead of the ugly slug turning into a beautiful butterfly, it just turns into an ugly slug with wings.
The sketching was probably the easiest part of the whole thing. i decided to not use butterfly wings and go with something a little more insecticide like with the dradonfly wings.
